Questions
I only have the paper print. What do I send?
Lay the photo flat near a window, out of direct sun, and take a picture of it straight on with your phone. Fill the screen with the photo. That's usually plenty. A scanner is even better if you have one.
How do you know what the real colors were?
Black and white photos don't record color, so nobody can know for certain. We use the details you give us first, like eye color, a favorite dress or the color of a house. For everything else we choose natural colors that fit the time and place, and we tell you which parts are our best guess.
Do you use computer tools?
Yes. We use modern restoration software, including AI tools, to repair damage and add color, and then we check every photo by hand before it goes to you. That's how we can offer careful work at a fair price.
Is my photo safe with you?
Your photos are only used to restore them for you. We never share them, never post them without your written OK, and never use them to train software. We delete them 30 days after your order is finished. See our privacy page.
What if I don't like the result?
You see a preview before paying. If it isn't right, tell us what to change. If it still isn't right, you don't pay. Simple as that.
Can you fix a photo that's missing a piece?
Often, yes. Small missing corners and tears are usually easy. If a face is badly damaged we'll tell you honestly what is possible before you pay anything.
